iWon’t

I caught myself looking at iMacs this evening. In the back of my mind, a voice was saying, “How nice would it be to always have a Mac set up at home? Always-on, storing all your stuff, fast enough to handle Mac OS X, wired to the internet, hosting iWalt.com

I have to resist.

Don’t you already have one?

Sean Peisert

Walt: Storage space, electricity…. it’s all good (my extra Mac is a Retrospect backup server), but there are downsides. :)

Scott: SHUSH!

Walt Dickinson

Scott, the beige G3 really couldn’t hack Mac OS X as well as I would need it to. It’s currently making my mom’s life easier by replacing the Power Mac 7500 (upgraded to a PPC 604) that she was using. So I’ve just got the one computer these days.

Scott Yager

Ah, I see.

Scott Yager

I don’t know why I’m being Shushed.

Rachelle Bowden

because you can never have too many apple computers.. and because you’re always teasing us for being in the apple cult

Scott Yager

Dude, it is a cult, or an addiction, or something. I’m going to start up “Macintosh Anonymous.”

Walt Dickinson

Maybe “Applephiles Anonymous.” (Thus you get the whole AA thing.) “Hi, my name is Walt and I’m an Applephile.” “Hi Walt.” “Yeah… <long drag on the cigarette> …I’ve been off Macs for about a month now, it was tough at first but…” “He’s got an iPod in his pocket!” “No no!” “Kick his ass!” etc…

Scott Yager

Yeah, that’s a better name. And it makes me think of Bob Saget in Half-Baked, but since this is allegedly a family website I won’t post any quotes.

Walt Dickinson

Hehe… I think I know the one you’re thinking of. I never saw that movie though.

Scott Yager

It was worth it just for Bob Saget’s appearance.
