Reloading

On my way to see The Matrix for the first time I was dreading a Keanu-fueled disaster a la Johnny Mnemonic. I was skeptical all throughout the beginning of the movie but by the time I left the theater it had started to dawn on me that The Matrix might be the best action movie I’d even seen. It was and still is.

Tonight were off to see the sequel. Hoping for good things. Trying to keep expectations low amidst rampant hype and fandom. I promise not to post any rants or raves for a week or so.

Walt … Please, please, don’t disclose anything at all about the film. :) I’ve been looking forward to the sequel ever since the first one …

Walt Dickinson

Me too. If I find the time to write anything about it I’ll put it on a page seperate from the weblog, with all the appropriate spoiler warnings.

Rachelle Bowden

i’ve got tickets for saturday

Scott Yager

I’m going in 10 minutes.

Scott Yager

Walt, did you stay through the whole credits for the Matrix: Revolutions trailer?

Walt Dickinson

Yup. But I didn’t watch it. =-)

Scott Yager

Did you really not watch it? Then why stay?

Walt Dickinson

We stayed mainly out of interest to see if there was going to be a trailer. Very few people had left the theater and it seemed likely. I think everyone else I was with watched it. I watched the first couple seconds and then shut my eyes and plugged my ears.

Scott Yager

Ah, I knew about it beforehand, otherwise I would have left. It didn’t really show anything plot-wise, anyway.

Were you thinking that Ryan would love that coat Neo was wearing? I was.

Rachelle Bowden

why dont you guys want to see the trailer? i heard about it and planned on staying through the credits to watch it.

Walt Dickinson

Rachelle: Scott is saying he did see the trailer. I didn’t watch it as part of my spoiler blackout philosophy.

Rachelle Bowden

but i thought that you guys went crazy for new trailers when they came out.. for matrix, lotr, star wars, etc.

Scott Yager

That’s what I thought too, Rachelle. In any case, it doesn’t give anything away.

Rachelle Bowden

just saw it.. did everybody clap and cheer for the jason vs. freddy movie that’s coming out? the trailer was before the movie.

Walt Dickinson

When Tabitha and I went on Friday night (yes, I went twice in three days) they played that trailer and it did, in fact, receive a chuckle-fueled applause.
