Matrix on IMAX

Nick was kind enough to visit our foggy end of the state last weekend. (Actually, it was gorgeous in Santa Rosa which is where we spent the bulk of our time.) Before he split for the sunny skies of Southern California we stopped by the Metreon for food but discovered something far more wonderful. The Matrix Reloaded, remastered for IMAX.

People, this is the only way to see this movie. Huge, loud, and perfect. It’ll cost you $13 but it’s worth every artificial dreamworld-generated penny. Now, rumor has it that Revolutions (the third in the Matrix series, due out in the fall) will debut in both conventional format and IMAX. Which means only one thing. I must acquire opening night tickets for the 100 foot-wide Matrix III.

I heard Attack of the Clones was an “abridged” version when it came to IMAX. Was Matrix Reloaded abridged in IMAX?

I didn’t notice if any scenes were removed or shortened.

Nick Runco
