Six is six years old today and we’re celebrating that dubious milestone by gutting it like a fish. Yes, it’s time for a change. Time for tearing up the foundation and rebuilding. You may have noticed that the menu is looking a bit thinner. Most of the old stuff will be back, better than before, but first it’s going back to the lab for a vigorous scrubbing.

A few things have already been retooled. For starters, the weblog and links are now powered by Movable Type 3.2. (Which is, not surprisingly, quite to my liking.) Also, we’ve switched hosting providers. In addition to sporting fresher server-side hoo-ha (PHP, Perl, etc.), our junk mail intake has never been lighter.

It’s going to be a good seventh year.

Congratulations on your sixth year of! I somehow missed this post in my feedreader, otherwise I would have wished you a Happy Sixth Blog Birthday today at work. :)

Anyway, I hope that you and Tabitha have an awesome trip! I’m jealous—I always wanted to go to London.

Thanks Lilia, some of my feeds were missing but I added some XML-level redirects to the new Atom 1.0 feeds. Hopefully everyone’s aggregator will auto-update. :)

This is overdue, but a belated congratulations to’s 6th year! My how the years have flown by.
