Spring Camera Cleaning

Canon EOS Elan II

I’ve been thinking that it’s that “out with the old, in with the new” time for my cameras. The first step is to get rid of my non-digital SLR camera. I feel kind of rotten about this because it was a gift and never got used as much as it should. On the other hand, that means it’s in near-perfect condition. I flipped it on this morning and saw it needed a new battery so there’s one on order from Amazon I ran out and bought a fresh one. It’s a Canon Elan EOS II and would be perfect for a photography student. The Canon Ultrasonic 28-80mm lens, lens cap, shoulder strap, and manuals are all in near-mint condition as well. I feel like I should be able to get about $250 for this but that may be unrealistic. I’m also not sure whether to go the eBay or craigslist route or whether there isn’t some other forum that camera resellers frequent. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The next phase of the plan would be to sell the digital point-and-shoot camera. I’ll write more about this one in a future post but for now it’s a Canon Powershot S30 and aside from a few tiny scratches, is also in perfect condition.
